Cookies Policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This page explains the cookies www.pixertise.co.uk uses, what each one does and how to change your mind. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — that you have dismissed a banner, for example, or that this is your second visit rather than your first. Some are set by us, some by third parties such as Google. We also use browser storage, which works in a similar way; where we do, we have listed it below alongside the cookies.
Your choice comes first
The first time you visit, a banner asks what you are happy with. Nothing but the strictly necessary cookies is set until you agree. Our consent tool blocks the analytics scripts from loading at all, rather than loading them and asking afterwards.
If you ignore the banner, decline, or click Reject All, no analytics cookies are set. You can still use the whole site.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They do not track you.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
cookieadmin_consent | Pixertise | Remembers which cookie categories you accepted, so you are not asked on every page. | 1 year |
_GRECAPTCHA | Set on the contact page by reCAPTCHA, which tells real people from spam bots. | 6 months | |
wordpress_logged_in_* | Pixertise | Keeps an administrator signed in. Only ever set for our own team, never for visitors. | Session |
Analytics cookies
These are only set if you accept them. They tell us which pages are read, which are ignored, and where our visitors come from, so we can improve the site. We use them to understand patterns across all visitors, not to build a profile of you.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
unique_session_id | Pixertise (AnalyticsWP) | Distinguishes one visitor from another for our own analytics. This runs on our own server — the data never goes to a third party. Also stored in browser storage. | 1 year |
cb_session_id, cb_pageview_id | Pixertise (Conversion Bridge) | Groups the pages you view into a single visit, so we can see how people move through the site and which pages lead to enquiries. | Session |
cb_utm_*, cb_gclid | Pixertise (Conversion Bridge) | Remembers which campaign or link brought you here, so we can tell which marketing is working. | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_WVEMBM486M | Google Analytics | Google’s own analytics cookies, used for visitor and session reporting. This data goes to Google. | 2 years |
We delete individual page-view records after 30 days and campaign source data after 12 months. Google Analytics data is held under the retention setting in that account, and Google’s use of it is covered by its own privacy policy.
Advertising cookies
We do not currently run any. There is no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag and no Google Ads remarketing tag on this website. The links to our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages in the footer are ordinary links — they set nothing unless you click them and visit those sites.
If that ever changes, we will add advertising cookies to the banner as a separate category you can decline, and update this page before switching anything on.
Changing your mind
Use the button below to reopen your cookie preferences and change what you have agreed to. Turning a category off stops the relevant cookies being set from that point on. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser. Every browser handles it slightly differently, and the instructions are here:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working properly. Blocking the rest will not affect anything you can see or do.
Do Not Track
Browsers vary in how they handle Do Not Track and there is no agreed standard, so we do not rely on it. The cookie banner is the reliable way to tell us what you want, and we honour it.
Questions
If you want to know more about any cookie listed here, or you think something is set that we have not mentioned, email mark@pixertise.co.uk and we will look into it.
